Dear Visitor welcome to my paintings website,
Enjoying yearly visits to Iceland since 1945 I have been totally inspired by the incredible contrasting landscapes of Iceland, and when I commenced organising tours to Iceland in 1985 my passion for photography had no bounds. With no art education and much later in life, I had a go at painting these stunning landscapes. With an embroidery background, (running my Icelandic Tapestry School for 18 years) I had an eye for detail.
In 2017 I decided to tackle a portrait, and since then I have embarked on painting portraits in oils of my family, whenever my busy life allows. These are mostly done from my own photographs of each individual.
